Sea and Summit Ireland Challenge

For 2017 Natasha wanted to go a bit further, and tackle the Irish Sea. She sailed from Stranraer and Port Patrick, across the Irish sea to Belfast and then headed south to finish the sailing in Dublin then climb Kippure. The weather did give Natasha and team a few layover days during the challenge but they still completed it, calling in at Port Patrick, Carrick Fergus, Bangor, Ardglass, Carlingford, Malahide, Howth and Dublin. Once in Dublin Natasha swapped the boat for her trusty Hart Walker and then climbed Kippure, an ascent of 575m.  On this challenge she raised £1,328 which was shared between her own charity and the RNLI.

It was certainly challenging, not just the sailing and mountain climb but all the logistics and sometimes the disabled facilities, finding places to camp, and of course the weather!
Natasha especially liked the sail from Ardglass to Carlingford because it was fast and exciting!
